Community Clean. Wow and Thank you

Thank you City of Calgary and Deer Run! It was a great turnout, a great help to the environment and all accomplished by amazing volunteers. Thanks!

There were trucks lined up from 8:30 to 2pm dumping organic, large household goods, steel, aluminum, batteries, electronics etc. The momentum this year shows this is a community need and it helps our city lessen its landfill by putting recyclables in their proper places.

Thanks you volunteers. The servant mentality of our volunteers excelled beyond anything I have witnessed. Isn’t Deer Run a great place to live? Thanks volunteers for your hard work but more importantly your great attitude.

Many items never made it to any landfill because of the “free to a good home” section of which many items were then taken to the SOLiD Second Hand store which serves many lower income families in the North East.

Did you miss it? See here fore links to more places you can take your goods. See you next September either way.
