This upcoming Jelly Bean Dances theme is 70’s and 80’s retro! Come dressed up as your favourite 70’s or 80’s musicians (or your mom or dad back then!). Here are some ideas:
ABBA, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Queen Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Kate Bush, Duran Duran, Blondie, The Clash, Journey, Electric Light Orchestra, and so many more!
We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Notes to Parents
We are not admitting parents past the front door this time. If you need to be with your child, phone Etienne at 403-816-0753 as we do need volunteers for supervision, but we need to go through the proper channels (not the night of). That is a win-win.
ONLY kids Grade 1-3 are permitted. Grade 7’s are volunteers - not kids :-)
Please help communicate to the kids that they are expected to stay in the building until a parent comes to pick them up. Once they leave, then we expect a parent to be picking them up and there will be no re-entry.
We will be giving a prize for the kid(s) who come up with the next dance theme. 80’s any who dare ? 90’s mom’s and dad’s. It will be a dress up one if we do those ones.

Prize winning tips
No costume? No problem - come with your $3 admission and get ready to have a great night with music, games and concession! You can watch and judge those who are competing - so come with the loudest voice. Most adults supervising are EXPERTS AT THE 80’s (no we are not boomers). White pants, thin piano tie, glove, pink shirt, zippers - everywhere, deck shoes - giddy up.
Oh - and feathered hair BOYS AND GIRLS (girls, add poofy curled bangs).
BUT if you’re brave and want to win PRIZES for Best Dressed and Best Dressed Group and BEST 80’s HAIR!
Feeling Shy?
No problem - come and spectate - we have a noise meter and you are the judges. The louder the number goes … the more it will help that team win.
Bring $3 admission and $$ for the concession - we have lots of pop, chips and candy. We also have games as usual when you are ready to have less noise and even more fun!
