Who wants to Roll with the Deer Run Halloween Patrol?
It’s baaaack! The Deer Run Halloween Patrol. After a successful pandemic Hallow’s Eve last year, we’re expecting another big night in the neighbourhood.
Grab a friend or family member and join us for a fun night patrolling Deer Run’s streets .
The role of the patrol is to deter bad behaviour. Our presence is a visual indication that the neighbourhood is safe, that the community is present and we are being watchful of our children and residents. We do not engage however we sure seem to slow down the traffic!
Drivers
Larger vehicles are desired for visibility. We have signs and flashing lights to add to your vehicle.
We recommend pairing up. Due to the pandemic, your buddy could be a family member, person in the same bubble, or friend so long as you follow the current health guidelines.
You can start early and switch off if there is someone that wants a late start.
Our Plan
· Muster at the centre at 6 PM on Hallows’ Eve, October 31st.
· Devour some pizza and pop
· Grab the maps, walkie talkies and attach signage (non-residue tape)
· Drive out and patrol the neighbourhood
· Stay out until about 9 PM (but it may be longer if there is a need)
· Debrief at the centre (have a beer & congratulate ourselves on a job well done)
