Outdoor rink committee- Current
We are getting ready to make some big changes to our outdoor skating rink. To do so we are creating a committee of volunteers that can help manage the development of our rink renovations. Some of the future plans the board members have discussed included: placement of recreational skating area, placement of pavement and board for hockey rink, placement of light poles, and placement of future buildings (heated garage, possible indoor rink). Ideal experience would include project management, creative problem solving, planning, hockey and/or other ice sports. We are waiting for our budget to be approved, so we need volunteers ASAP! If you are interested email our centre manager, Rob, expressing your interest at info@deerruncalgary.com or call 403-278-3117.
DRCA Stampede Breakfast - June 22, 2024
Mark the date on your calendar! As usual it’s all free, and is a family event with games, treats for the kids, line dancing, music and a super breakfast. Without our valued volunteers the DRCA would’t be able to run community events like the DRCA Stampede Breakfast! Volunteer opportunities are: set up crew, pancake flippers, serving crew, runners crew, juice crew, membership crew, animal clean up crew, and tear down crew.
