Casino Volunteers Needed August 27 & 28
We have a volunteer opportunity that will raise tens of thousands of dollars to support our programs and community. The Deer Run Community Association (DRCA) Society will be hosting the casino over a 48 hour period and we need community members to fill the volunteer positions.
We have been given the Deerfoot Inn & Casino, which is conveniently located just 15 minutes away.
The dates are Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022. We hope many of you will be available on this weekend.
We are looking volunteers to fill a variety of cash cage and count room roles. Come for one (or two) day or night shifts with many different positions to choose from. The positions are: chip runner, count room, count room supervisor and cage personnel including cashier, banker and general manager. Note that key positions (cashiers, banker, count room supervisor) must be DRCA members and complete a Casino Volunteer Worker Application form. The form can be dropped off at the Community Centre or emailed to Don Zver, Casino Coordinator.
Shifts:
11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
6:30 p.m. to Close
11 p.m. until Close (count room)
Anyone can volunteer who is over 18. No experience or prerequisites are required and you will be guided by a casino advisor. This is a fun event with lots of time to chat with the other volunteers. All volunteers will receive a complimentary meal and snacks while you work at the casino. Tip - sign up with a friend and treat it like a night out!
