Deer Run Community Centre Hours and Rentals - Nov. 27 to Dec. 15, 2020

To All Renters/Facility Users:

With the announcement from the Province yesterday, the new enhanced public health measures state that community centres are to close all in-person services from November 27 to December 15, 2020.

Because of the variety of activities community centres around the City offer, our umbrella organization, the Federation of Calgary Communities, has sought clarity from Alberta Health Services regarding whether or not activities otherwise allowed outside of a community centre are allowed to continue. The answer we have received is that centres may only open for childcare operations and faith-based organizations. All other activities are not allowed to occur in our centre with these current restrictions in place. Community centres many also continue to offer social programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous per the City of Calgary.

We realize this is inconvenient and unfortunate for many of you who rely on DRCA’s facility to operate. If you have pre-paid for any bookings during this time period, we will credit your account accordingly. If you require a refund, please let us know.

We will be back in touch with you all closer to December 15 with any updates available in regards to opening our facility back up for rentals. Until then, please stay safe, stay healthy, and we hope to see you back as soon as possible!
