Volunteers Needed
Lend a Helping Hand to Our Neighbours: Haultain Memorial School Playground
About 13 years ago the Deer Run Community came together to help rebuild the Deer Run Elementary School playground. This took efforts from the students, parents, people from our community, and even people outside our community. Neighbors from the Queensland neighborhood came out to help our community build! Since then, it has been used and enjoyed by many children throughout their school years.
Now it’s Deer Run’s turn to give back! Queensland’s elementary school, Haultain Memorial School is preparing for construction on their new park. The Parent Association is still looking for volunteers and help. Construction is set to start August 13th to the 16th with shifts running from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
All volunteers must be 18 and older and wear close toed shoes. BDI Play Design requires 36 to 40 people each day of building, so lots of positions to fill! The HMSPA will provide volunteers with a rest area, water, snacks, light refreshments, and lunch every day for the volunteers.
No experience required and a perfect opportunity to get involved with the community around us. If you’re not able to volunteer but still want to help, Haultain Memorial School is taking donations.
