DRCA Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is an opportunity for residents of Deer Run to provide necessities and gifts for local families in need during Christmas. Our tree supports three to four families per year. We coordinate with local schools and churches to select families and to ensure we don’t miss anyone.

We encourage you to view and select gift tags from our virtual tree online. If you are not computer savvy, there will also be a real tree with limited tags at the Community Centre. Another option is to call and talk to the front desk staff and they can select a tag off of the online tree for you and write you a note with the type of gift and special code you need to keep with the gift. Call 403-278-3117. Please try to return the gifts 2 weeks early.

All gifts must be new, labelled with the 3 digit code or SKU (eg 1.4.2) , and delivered unwrapped to the Deer Run Community Center by the deadline (see below).

If you miss the deadline, please call the Community Centre at 403-278-3117 to speak to us in person.

Giving Tree 2024

To give:

  1. Visit the virtual tree on our website (click button below)

  2. Choose and check-out an ornament

  3. Buy the gift (new items only please)

  4. CLEARLY put the 3 digit SKU on the gift (eg 1.4.2) - so we know who it’s for

  5. Drop the gift at the community centre (tagged but unwrapped)

Drop-off Deadline

Please bring the gifts to the Deer Run Community Center by

  • deadline of Thursday, Dec. 12 for gifts from the physical tree

  • deadline of Sunday, Dec. 15 for gifts from the virtual tree

  • LAST CHANCE: 5:30 pm on Mon, Dec. 16, 2024

We need time to sort and wrap the donations before delivering them to the families.  If you have any questions please call Rob at the Community Center at 403-278-3117.

Thank you to our sponsor for creating and hosting the virtual and physical Giving Tree. Note the gifts are not doubled up between the e-tree and physical tree (or the families chosen for the Deer Run School Giving Tree)

 Enjoy the gift of Giving!

Happy holidays, from the Deer Run Community Association (DRCA)
