Community Hair-Raiser May 1 to June 18, 2022
Howdy Folks,
It’s me, Kim, president of the Deer Run Community Association. I’m back from a long hair-atus with a special request. As many of you know, with my wife at risk, our family has kept a low profile during Covid. I haven’t gotten my hair cut since we started wearing masks in March 2020. It’s outrageous!
Fast forward to today. I have more freedom due to vaccinations and am making more public appearances. But my hair is unruly. It’s time to get a trim and turn this trouble maker into stubble. I thought, “What better way to raise funds for the community association than to cut my hair?”
The hair raiser will support two projects we are working on at the Deer Run Community Association:
A new Deer Run sign at 146 AVE and Bow Bottom Trail, and
Upgrading the outdoor ice rinks by the community centre.
Please donate to our fundraiser and help get me out of this hairy mess!
You can donate on our website or in-person at the Deer Run Community Centre. Please specify where you would like your donation to be directed, i.e., the sign, the rink or both.
Your donation will cut down our costs, and as a bonus – shave down some bushy beards that have sprouted among our Board. David Brooke and Etienne Bley have both stepped up for the cause.
This hair-rowing event will be held near the end of the Deer Run Stampede Breakfast on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Ya-hair!
Thank you for participating.
Kim Semeniuk,
President, Deer Run Community Association
